The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at Anfield.

Genk’s only away European visit to England was in October 2011, when they were beaten 5-0 at Stamford Bridge by Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have enjoyed a strong start to the 2019-20 season and are unbeaten in their last 10 games. The hosts, who are one of only three teams to score four goals or more in back-to-back Champions League games, currently sit second in Group E, one point behind Napoli. Genk, meanwhile, have won only one of their previous five matches in all competitions, and have conceded 10 goals thus far in Europe, which has been the most of any team in the group.

The hosts make six changes from their recent Premier League victory over Aston Villa with Gomez, Milner, Fabinho, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Origi coming into the side in place of Lovren, Robertson, Lallana, Jordan Henderson, Mane and Firmino. The Liverpool captain misses out through illness. Genk, on the other hand, make five changes from their defeat to Eupen as Wouters, Ndongala, Bongonda, Onuachu and Stephen Odey are replaced in the starting side by Dewaest, Heynen, De Norre, Ito and Samatta.

GENK SUBS: Maarten Vandevoordt, Dries Wouters, Jakub Piotrowski, Ianis Hagi, Dieumerci Ndongala, Theo Bongonda, Paul Onuachu.

LIVERPOOL SUBS: Adrian, Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson, Adam Lallana, Curtis Jones, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino.

GENK (3-5-2): Gaetan Coucke; Carlos Cuesta, Sebastian Dewaest, Jhon Lucumi; Joakim Maehle, Bryan Heynen, Patrik Hrosovsky, Sander Berge, Casper de Norre; Junya Ito, Mbwana Samatta.

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, James Milner; Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah, Divock Origi.

After meeting each other in their last Champions League outing, Liverpool come into this match looking to make it three consecutive victories, while Genk will be seeking to bounce back after losing 4-1 last time out.

Hello and welcome to live match coverage of the Champions League fixture in Group E between Liverpool and Genk at Anfield.
