There are three changes for Madrid for the clash tonight as James comes in from the cold to replace Vinicius, while Isco and Carvajal earn the starts in place of the suspended Modric and Alvaro Odriozola. Bale continues in the final third alongside the spearhead Benzema.

REAL VALLADOLID SUBS: Anuar Mohamed, Andriy Lunin, Antonito, Toni Villa, Waldo Rubio, Joaquin Fernandez, Miguel De la Fuente.

REAL VALLADOLID (4-4-2): Jordi Masip; Javi Moyano, Kiko Olivas, Mohammed Salisu, Nacho; Pedro Porro, Fede San Emeterio, Michel, Oscar Plano; Enes Unal, Sergi Guardiola.

REAL MADRID SUBS: Keylor Navas, Eder Militao, Nacho Fernandez, Federico Valverde, Lucas Vazquez, Luka Jovic, Vinicius Junior.

REAL MADRID (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Isco, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez.

Valladolid also opened their season with a victory, recording 2-1 win over Real Betis thanks to a late goal from Oscar Plano. Sergi Guardiola had handed them the lead in the second half before being pegged back. However, Sergio’s team found their clinical edge to secure the three points. They now face a massive challenge against Madrid, who won their last two meetings comfortably in the previous term.

Real Madrid kicked off their LaLiga campaign on the road last week against Celta Vigo with a 3-1 triumph. Goals from Karik Benzema, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez guided them to the three points, despite seeing Luka Modric dismissed during the second half. Zinedine Zidane will be looking to put the pressure on Barcelona immediately following the champions slip-up in their opener, extending their advantage to six points with a win tonight.

Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the LaLiga clash between Real Madrid and Real Valladolid at the Bernabeu.
